How to use

The thermometer is suitable for an enclosed environment without strong drafts (such as air from a fan, air conditioner, or convector heater) between the thermometer and the target. Do not hold the thermometer for too long because it is sensitive to ambient temperature.

  • Select measurement mode: Press the Measurement button to turn on the thermometer. Select the measurement mode using the Mode button. The symbol with the person’s face indicates the Front mode. The house symbol indicates the Object mode.

  • Press the Measurement button to start a measurement:

    To take forehead temperature: point the probe toward the forehead at a distance of 1-5 cm and press the Measure button. After a beep is emitted, a reading is shown.

    To take the temperature of an object, point the probe toward the object at a distance of 1-5 cm and press the Measure button.

  • Continuous measurement:

    1) Hold down the Measurement button. Move the temperature probe while keeping the distance between the thermometer and the target unchanged. The thermometer will beep several times. In this way the temperature of different target positions can be measured.

    2) Release the Measurement button. The highest reading of the measurement period will be shown.

  • After a measurement: Repeat the previous steps to take a new measurement. After each measurement you can choose the “Remember” mode and request previous readings by holding down the Mode button.

    The thermometer will automatically turn off if not used for 30 seconds.
