It can be performed without the use of instrumentation.

Add the buffer to the sample collection tube containing the catalyst powder and shake well.

Add the hair sample to the preparation, tighten the cap to the sample collection tube, then shake the tube vigorously. Allow the contents of the tube to act for 5 minutes.

Remove the cassette test from the sealed package and use it within one hour. Place the cassette test on a clean, flat surface. Open the cap of the sample collection tube and transfer 3 whole drops of sample into the sample well (S) of the cassette test, and start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the sample well (S)

Wait for the colored lines to appear. Read the result at 5 min. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
