Screen Test Gastroenteritis is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of rotavirus and adenovirus antigens in human fecal samples to facilitate the diagnosis of rotavirus or adenovirus infection. The test is intended for self-analysis. It is not automated. For in vitro diagnostic use only.

How to use

  • Before performing the test, let the cup equilibrate to room temperature (15-30°C).

  • Wash hands with soap and rinse with clean water. Remove the cup from the aluminum bag and use it within 1 hour. Best results are obtained if the test is performed immediately after the aluminum bag is opened.

  • Unscrew the test cap and pull out the stick.

  • Solid stool: randomly poke the sampling stick into the fecal sample at 3 different places. Do not draw the fecal sample.
    Liquid stool: hold the dropper vertically. Aspirate the fecal sample, then transfer 2 drops of the liquid sample into the test CUP containing the dilution buffer

  • Insert the stick back into the CUP and screw on the cap.

  • Shake for about 10 to 15 seconds to mix well.

  • Allow to react for 2 minutes.

  • Remove the seal at the base of the CUP.

  • Place the test on a clean, flat surface, press the CUP body from top to bottom, and start the timer.

  • Keep the test upright during the test. Do not move or turn the test up and down.

  • Read the result after 10 minutes. Do not read the results after 20 minutes.
